Lowheart release new single - "Complex Times"

Lowheart have just issued a brand new single, "Complex Times" - available on all online music platforms, through RatWheel records and via US distributor CD Baby. It is the duo's first single as Lowheart after four album releases since 2015. Written in 2019, prior to the worldwide pandemic, "Complex Times" somehow still manages to contain some topical relevance in the COVID era, and may strike a chord with listeners in the strange days we are inhabiting - while at times planting the tongue firmly in cheek. "Complex Times" features a classic rock sound, driven by a shuffling rhythm, a strong melodic vocal hook, and Lowheart's trademark guitar sound. Originally intended for inclusion on an album scheduled for release in three albums' time from now (entitled "Sleeping Dogs Bite"), the pair decided to bring forward "Complex Times" (with several overdubs and a new mix added) for release as a stand-alone non-album single. This new single release provides some new Lowheart material, while work continues simultaneously on the hard-rocking "Rock Du Jour" album and the acoustic-based set "The Catharsis File". Lowheart have enough demos recorded, to various levels of completion, for at least four strong new albums. which will follow the "Complex Time" single.

Lowheart added to It's My Country online radio playlist

Lowheart's Country-Pop-Rock track "Had Me at Hello" has been added to rotation, as a highlighted track, on online country radio station It's My Country, to be played four times daily for the week starting Thursday 16th July 2020. The song is taken from Lowheart's Alt-Country album "Long Hard Road", and can be downloaded or streamed on all major platforms. The track was also recently featured on the Lowheart compilation playlist "A Slab of Lowheart" on Spotify and YouTube. The "Long Hard Road" album also featured "Crossroads Again", a track that originally saw the light of day during the duo's previous incarnation as Wilful Damage - the video of which can be viewed on YouTube and was screened on NuCountry TV. "Had Me at Hello", and the Long Hard Road album in general, provide an excellent counter-point to the hard-edged rock that makes up a majority of Lowheart's recorded output.

Lowheart launch "Best Of" Playlist

Lowheart have just released their first compilation, a 24-track playlist album entitled "A Slab of Lowheart" - launched in May 2020 via Spotify and YouTube Music. Sub-titled "Lowheart Essentials", the playlist represents a Best of Lowheart so far, encompassing tracks from across their four studio albums released between 2015 and 2019. Focussing on the duo's most commercial and accessable songs, "A Slab of Lowheart" provides an excellent cross-section of their recorded output, and showcases their variety of styles including hard rock, classic rock, country rock, and several diverse ballads. Among the tracks featured are video singles "Crossroads Again", "Own Sweet Time", and "Trash Like You", radio favourites "Kicked To The Curb" and "Blowin' a Fuse", and two songs that have forthcoming music videos currently in production: "Rat on a Wheel" and "Some Kinda Love".
